Encouragement from Psalm 119 - Day 2

04/14/2020 - By Jesse Roman

How are you doing? It may not be an easy question to answer, but it's important. More and more people are talking about the challenges of staying encouraged and hopeful despite waking up every day to a new reality. Many talk about the impact of the restrictions we are all under and the challenges it has to our mental health. Depression, lack of energy and motivation, and loneliness are real these days, even for those who don't normally deal with these issues. It is so important to create new rhythms for your life that keep you energized, focused and mentally and spiritually healthy. For all of us, our current circumstances have provided a fresh opportunity for us to understand what Jesus meant when He said, "Abide in me!" and "Apart from me you can do nothing". How are you doing really? It's always important to be honest. Let someone know that you can trust. If you are doing ok, check in on someone else and let them know you care and your are praying for them. What we have been dealing with the last 5 weeks has not been easy, even as a believer in Jesus Christ. But don't lose heart. God is in full control and will carry you through it, just as He promised!
