Encouragement in the Journey #4

So much has changed in all our lives in the past two weeks. Bryan and I personally are self-quarantined. That's really hard for this "social butterfly". I miss you all, I love you all. I'm not one for "social distancing". I miss your hugs. I pray you're all well. There are a lot of things I miss but I'm choosing to concentrate on the things I have; the constants.

God is still in control. He always has been and always will be. What a comfort that is to me at a time when things feel out of control. God's love never changes. We're assured in Romans 8:35-39 "that nothing can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord". Jesus is our Savior and calls us His beloved. He is our "Prince of Peace" Is.9:6 and " in Him all things hold together" Col. 1:17.

One of my favorite books, You Gotta Keep Dancin', by Tim Hansel, has taught me a life lesson, joy is our choice in the midst of troubles. Joy doesn't depend on circumstances but comes from deep within and Jesus puts it there along with all the rest of Fruit of the Spirit. Neh 8:10 " Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength. Choose Love Peace and Joy!!"
